Festivals Are Here: The New Seasonal Circuit

Festivals are live. After a season of building it (and, full disclosure, one false start we are not too proud of), the seasonal festival circuit is now running in Road to Headliner. It is the biggest thing we have added in a while, and it changes how the back half of a season feels.

Here is what it is and how to get your band on the bill.

## What a festival circuit is

Through the season, your shows and results earn you circuit points. Those points decide whether you get invited to the festivals that run in the closing weeks. Think of it as a ladder that runs alongside the league, with its own rewards.

It rewards consistency, not just one good night. A band that plays smart all season puts itself in a much better spot than one that peaks once and fades.

## The four tiers

Festivals come in tiers, from smaller showcase events up to the premier headline slots. The bigger the festival, the tougher the field and the better the payoff.

You do not jump straight to the top. You earn your way up the circuit, which means even a newer band has something to chase. The seasons and competition guide explains how it all slots into the season.

## How brackets work

Once you are in, festivals play out as brackets. You are matched against other bands, the better performance advances, and it goes from there until someone is left holding the headline slot.

Human bands get priority for the spots, and bots only fill in the gaps, so the bands you beat are mostly real managers like you. Winning one feels good. We have watched the test runs and the final matches got genuinely tense.

## How to get on the bill

Nothing special to sign up for. Play your season, win shows, keep your band sharp, and the circuit points take care of the rest. If you want to maximise your chances, the basics still apply: a tight band, good songs, and a steady run of strong shows.
